In July 1990, a team of 11 mission partners from ICMS travelled to Mongolia and Siberia's Lake Baikal region to support the missions which was led by a pioneer missions leader from a mission organisation.

We spent two weeks in these new mission frontiers in the capital cities of Irkutsk, Siberia and Ulan Bator, Mongolia. These were restricted nations which were newly opened for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the end of the Cold War. For the next 25 years, we continued to send mission teams to support the work of missions and church planting in these formerly restricted Siberian regions of the Soviet Union.

In 1996, we sponsored the First Siberia Baikal Leaders Conference Meeting at Maximeekha on the Eastern Baikal region. The Holy Spirit visited the conference and there was great spiritual revival and God's visitation at this historic conference. We continued the leaders revival conference for the next 20 years in the capital city of Ulan Ude in Buryatia.

This became the Great Revival Conference for the Baikal region. Pastors and leaders converged each year for corporate prayer, worship, preaching, encouragement and fellowship. The Baikal region became known as one of the regions of great spiritual revival and church planting. Today, there are about 400 churches in the Baikal region of Buryatia, Irkutsk and Chita. Praise God that He has raised up the Baikal and Siberian churches in the great revival regions of Siberia and Russia.

We were then invited to minister in Moscow and Sochi, the Black Sea capital city of Russia. We preached at the marketplace conference in Moscow and ministered to the churches. We held the First Black Sea Pastors and Leaders Conference in 2006. This conference brought unity to the church for the first time in this scenic Olympic city of Sochi which is surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains and beautiful Black Sea. We were invited to preach in other cities of Russia from Krasnayarsk to Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Barnaul, Altai Region, Yakutia, Siktivkar, Kaluga, Volgograd, Perm and the capital city of Moscow.

Our goal, vision and desire is to see the greatest Holy Spirit revival in Russia which will spread throughout the whole world as prophesied and envisioned by Hudson Taylor in 1855. In Moscow, the mission has supported and sponsored the Moscow National Conference for the past five years. This is the largest gathering of pastors and church leaders from all regions of Russia with over 1,200 in attendance each year.

The Moscow Conferences are revival meetings which empower the bishops, pastors and leaders with the visitation and anointing of the Holy Spirit, intercession, worship and anointed teaching and preaching of God's Word. These are powerful prayer, Word, worship and Spirit-empowered meetings. We praise God that we can preach in this great nation which has been closed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 70 years. This is the time of the Russian Church revival. The Russian Church is very mission focused, evangelical and a great church planting movement. Hundreds of churches in different regions, villages, towns and cities are being planted every year. Millions are hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ and receiving salvation every year through door-to-door evangelism in the "One Year for Jesus" programme.
