CPI Training takes place in the mission field. Participants, known as Timothys, must produce a Recommendation Letter from their local pastor. Timothys pay a token sum to attend 4 days of training per month, over a period of 8 months. Majority of the expenses for travel, food and materials are funded by ICM Singapore.
The seminary in a briefcase approach is conducted for 8 weekly sessions over a 8 month period.
Trainees are encouraged to share the gospel within and beyond their communities. Many set up home cells or house churches. Some have successfully launched churches in their villages or towns on a larger scale. CPI graduates known as Advanced Timothys are encouraged to return for refresher talks.
Timothys must fulfill at least 80% of attendance throughout the 8-month training. At the end of the course, successful trainees are awarded a Certificate by ICM Singapore at a formal Ceremony held for the students and their families.
